Title: Cuddly Toys and Dolls Author: Jean Greenhowe
Publication Date: Hardcover:1983
Publisher: Sterling Publishing Co., Inc.
Page Count: 140
Book Dimensions(ht. x w.): 10" x 7 1/2"
PATTERN RATING: . The patterns have to be resized, and don't have seam allowances marked on them. They are marked to aid the crafter, but not heavily so. With this said, the toys presented do have a lot of personality, and she gives a nice variety. I particularly liked the two small cows, Moo and Chew. A lot of the toys are either dolls or anthropomorphized animals.
INSTRUCTION RATING:. The instructions are broken down by body part and read pretty well, but there isn't a lot of illustration to go with them. If you don't understand what she's telling you, you have no other reference to help you.
SUMMARY- It is a solid book with engaging toys. Ms. Greenhowe is a brilliant designer of children's toys.
The designer has a website: http://www.jeangreenhowe.com/ where she has original knit patterns for sale and also has some free patterns available for download.
