PATTERN RATING: Star Rating. Patterns are full-size, but have very little in the way of markings. The monkey is the most complex - and it looks really good. The monkey and llama are the main exceptions, though, to the toys being kind of clunky, with embroidered on faces and bodies with very little definition.

INSTRUCTION RATING:Star Rating. Instructions for each toy are all lumped under 'Method' and no illustrations to go with the 'method'. This isn't a book for beginners.

SUMMARY This book was put together with very young children in mind, so the toys are very simple, and pattern design was not addressed.
