PATTERN RATING:Star Rating Patterns are all full-size. All pattern pieces are well marked, including grainlines and and seam allowances. You get the size of the doll that particular pattern fits at the beginning of the instructions. You get a small section of color photos displaying the finished clothing on doll models, but otherwise are given only nice line illustrations of the finished garments, both front and back!

INSTRUCTION RATING:Star Rating Instructions are broken down into numbered steps. They are simple and concise. There's a nice section up front explaining some of the tricks to machine sewing small doll clothes that would be really helpful to the novice, including a well illustrated section on how to resize the patterns.

SUMMARY- If you need a handy book for making doll clothes of various shapes and sizes and styles, this is an excellent beginning. I was really jazzed looking through this book and seeing all the different styles. The pattern pieces are very well laid out and could be photocopied pretty easily. This is a must-have book!
