PATTERN RATING: Star Rating. The patterns are laid out on a grid that has to be heavily expanded and have very few markings to help the crafter. The grids are no more than 6" either way for the largest patterns. The toys have some personality, but a lot of them are kind of chunky/clunky. The best pattern is that of Ferdinand the Bull. It has some really nice detail around the nose. But unless you're a fan of the children's story, this book probably doesn't have anything in it you'll use. All the designs sport really big eyes that kind of creep me out. I know kids are supposed to be reassured by big eyes, but all I can think of is Little Red Riding Hood telling the Wolf, "My, what big eyes you have..."

INSTRUCTION RATING:Star Rating. If you don't already know what you're doing, the instructions won't help you.

SUMMARY- I am probably going to get an angry e-mail from one of Ms. Forster's grandkids for my poor review of this book. Someone must have fond memories of these toys, and to you, I apologize.
