PATTERN RATING:Star Rating Pattern pieces are full-size, but not well marked(seam allowance is included in the pieces, but not marked) - they do at least have the grainline and have identifying codes, so I didn't count off much for this. You get a fantastic variety and for different sized dolls, including a section for boys that is so often neglected.

INSTRUCTION RATING:Star Rating Instructions are necessarily brief, as you have a ton of patterns all resized for different dolls. But you should have some experience sewing before tackling this book.

SUMMARY- This is a fantastic book to have on your shelf for dressing dolls of just about any size. I give an enthusiastic thumbs up to this one. I've come across so many books where I liked the styles, but I'd have to spend a lot of time resizing patterns to fit. You'd need to do very little alteration to these patterns as she gives you the basic patterns in several different sizes already. You even get some knit and crochet patterns for articles that just don't look right sewn. My only reservation is that this isn't a book for beginning sewers - but they can't all be. Even if you've never sewn in your life, get this book. It'll be something you can aspire to.
