PATTERN RATING: . The patterns are full-size and with seam allowances shown, but with minimal marking for sewing guides. The bears given are pretty traditional, so if you are looking for good basic patterns to work off of, these are good candidates. My main peeve here is that the cover tells you there are patterns for 9 bears, when what they really give you is two bears (one large, one small) and the accessories/clothes for 9 bears. But that's probably just a nitpick on my part.
INSTRUCTION RATING:. I think the step-by-step instructions and illustrations could be followed by a beginner.
Summary- This book is only about making up the patterns given, and does that pretty well. If you are into teddy bears, this book should probably be on your shelf.
