Title: A Quick-and-Easy Teddy Bear: With Full-Size Patterns for Clothing Author: Jodie Davis
Publication Date: TPB:1991
Publisher: Dover Publications, Inc., NY, NY
Page Count: 30
Book Dimensions(ht. x w.): 11" x 8 1/2"
PATTERN RATING: Patterns are full size and well marked. They should be very easy to photocopy. You get one teddy pattern. The personality of the toy is brought out with the clothing, which is well chosen and charming. The blurb on the back of the book claims there are 20 full-size patterns - what they really meant was there were 20 full-size pattern pieces. I'm sure that was done by the publisher, not Ms. Davis!
INSTRUCTION RATING: Instructions are well broken down and easy to read. She has plenty of illustrations to help guide the crafter. This is a book I'd recommend to anyone making a teddy for the first time, but already has a little bit of experience with a sewing machine.
SUMMARY- Ms. Davis always puts together first rate soft toy books, and this one is no exception. The teddys are cute and engaging. There's a reason why I always snap up a book of hers when I run across a new one.
