PATTERN RATING:Star Rating You get a HUGE variety of dolls in this book. Patterns, when provided, are pretty well marked - most of the dolls are not made of cloth.

INSTRUCTION RATING:Star Rating The majority of the dolls are extremely simple and don't require a lot of instruction - she is mostly getting you used to the idea that just about anything can be made into a doll.

BONUS MECHANICS RATING:Star Rating She gets a bonus star for introducing so many types of dolls, and for her duct tape doll dressform.

SUMMARY- The toys here are would be fun for young crafter to make and for trying out new and different craft materials. I like her little dropped in factoids about how dolls were used around the world over history. This is the most enjoyable doll making book I've seen in recent years.
