Title: Cherished Dolls to Make For Fun

Book Dimensions(ht. x w.): 11" x 8 1/2"

PATTERN RATING:Star Rating. Patterns have to be enlarged, but are gridded to help the crafter. There are some markings to help put them together, like grainline, and button placement, but not much else. Quality is uneven, as there were over a dozen designers who contributed to this book - their names and the pages they were responsible for are tucked on the very last page of the book. Over-all, there is a nice variety - I particularly liked the sachet dolls.

INSTRUCTION RATING:Star Rating. Instructions are broken down by body part and there is very little illustration to go with them.

SUMMARY- The older I get, the more I dislike books that don't have the designer's name on the cover. I began reading this book with the expectation of really hating it - which I didn't quite. The dolls are for the most part ragdolls, but there is definition (and hands!) on some of them, and the sachet dolls had an old-world feel to them that was very appealing. I could easily see making up 3-4 of them to give as a bridal shower gift.
