Title: Let's Make Cute Stuff by Aranzi Aronzo! Cute Dolls Author: Aranzi Aronzo(Kinuyo Saito and Yoko Yomura)
Publication Date: TPB:2007
Publisher: Vertical, Inc., NY
Page Count: 79
Book Dimensions(ht. x w.): 11" x 8 1/2"
PATTERN RATING: Patterns are full-size and very well marked. Most of the animals are anthroporphized(but not all - the fish, penguins, and Mr. Tad and Mr. Pole). Designs are simple, but have strong personality. You get a nice variety and they should work up pretty quickly for last minute presents.
INSTRUCTION RATING: Instructions are very heavily illustrated and broken down into easy steps. Between the simplicity of the designs and the great instructions, I can't imagine anyone having trouble with any of the patterns in this book.
SUMMARY- This book is about making pancake-style(two piece patterns - no gussets) jersey-cloth mascot dolls. They look suitable for young children with maybe the exception of the Kidnapper, who might be frightening to really young kids. The dress you see on the cover is the only clothing pattern included with the dolls.
